The road project that has been taking place on Peterson Avenue in Thorsby is now complete.

Mayor Robert Hight informed the Thorsby Town Council of its completion during its meeting on Sept. 3.

Cindy Chandler was also approved as a new hire with the water department.

Carol Fortuna was on hand asking the if the Chilton County United Way could see if some of the town’s employees were interested in donating to the organization’s 2020 fundraising campaign by way of payroll deduction.

The Council approved allowing Fortuna to setup appointments to meet with employees.

The minutes were approved from the Council meeting on Aug. 19.
