Clothing giveaway open to all

Co-Missioned Ministries will hold a combined summer clothing and back-to-school giveaway at the Clanton Outdoor Market from 10 a.m. to noon on July 8.

According to Monica Price, who founded Co-Missioned Ministries along with her husband Justin, the clothing giveaway will most likely be their last of the year.

Although clothes will be the primary items available, there will also be several items that would commonly be found at yard sales.

The additional items will include home décor and smaller furniture.

Clothes and baby items are free to the public, while the furniture will be for sale.

Everything at the giveaway has been donated to the ministry.

“Take a look through the summer clothes, and while you’re at it, it’s never too early to start thinking about what your kids will wear to school,” Price said.

Co-Missioned Ministries will be set up with a booth at the market, which should be easy to spot with a recently added six-foot by three-foot sign to accompany a pink tent.

The Clanton Outdoor Market is located at 808 Logan Road in Clanton.

According to Price, the clothes left over from the previous giveaway were given to the Chilton County Emergency Assistance Center.

“We’ll have all new stuff that hasn’t been seen before from us,” Price said.

Anyone looking to take advantage of the giveaway is encouraged to bring their own boxes and bags to fill up and take home.

The clothes are free to the public and Co-Missioned Ministries holds no regard to a person’s financial situation.

For more information or questions about the clothing giveaway call (205) 641-9636.

“Anything that we can do to help people and relieve that financial burden,” Price said.
