CCHS tennis wins two

Chilton County’s tennis team enjoyed a successful week, winning 34 matches and losing only against Paul Bryant and Holtville.

On Tuesday against Paul Bryant, the CCHS boys won 9-0.

Nicholas Lyn, Rett Russell, Weston Harris, Chase Baker, Andrew Cantley and A.J. Davidson won in singles; and Lyn/Russell, Harris/Baker and Ryan Baker/Conner Morgan won in doubles.

They also defeated Holtville, 9-0, with the same lineup.

The girls topped Paul Bryant 7-2.

Winners were Anna Adams, Laura Evans, Mary Colby Kelley, Krissi Jones and Jessica Morgan in singles matches; and Ada Ruth Huntley/Kelley, and Jones/Caitlyn Smith in doubles matches.

The same players and teams won in the Holtville match, in addition to Huntley in singles, and the team of Adams/Evans in doubles.
