Chilton County Solid Waste Authority increases fees

When going to dispose of materials at the Chilton County Solid Waste Authority expect to pay $2 more beginning the first of next month.

The Chilton County Solid Waste Authority agreed on the increase at their regular meeting Tuesday, May 17 held at the Thorsby Annex.

The tipping fee will be increased $2, making the fuel surcharge $41.50 per ton instead of $39.50 per ton.

The authority also voted that fee for cash customers to be increased $2, making the rate for 1 to 500 lbs $12, 501 to 1,000 lbs $22, 1,001 to 1,500 lbs $32 and 1,501 to and up $41.50 per ton effective June 1.
