Intrasquad football games scheduled

As the school year winds down, local football teams are nearing the end of spring practice and drawing closer to summer workouts.

This year, none of the local varsity squads will compete in a spring exhibition game against other teams, though teams have scheduled intrasquad scrimmages.

An intrasquad game consists of a team splitting into two sides and playing against each other.

Both the Chilton County Tigers and the Jemison Panthers are scheduled to play an intrasquad scrimmage game on Friday, May 8.

The Tigers will kick off their scrimmage game at 2 p.m. at Tiger Stadium.

The Panthers will hold their game at 1:30 p.m. at Panther Stadium.

The Thorsby Rebels’ intrasquad scrimmage game will take place at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19 at Susan Bentley Field.

Maplesville, Isabella and Verbena have not scheduled spring games.
