Local Care Net organization looking for volunteers

Care Net Pregnancy Resource Center of Chilton County, Inc., is looking for volunteers to assist with its organization.

Care Net is a non-profit, Christian organization, seeking to minister to women and families facing difficult decisions brought on by unplanned pregnancies.

“Since all of our services to clients are provided free of charge, we rely heavily on monetary donations and volunteers,” said Director Deanna Crist.

Volunteers are needed in the following areas: receptionists, counselors, board members, church/community liaisons, fundraising banquet committee and Bible study leaders.

All volunteers must attend 21 hours of training. The next volunteer training class will be held at Clanton First Baptist Church from July 18-23.  The times are: Mondays 6-9 p.m., Tuesdays 6-9 p.m., Thursdays 6-9 p.m., Fridays 6-9 p.m. and Saturdays 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

No prior experience is necessary, though the training is required.  Those interested can sign up online at www.prcpartnerschilton.org or call Crist for more information at 755-6767.  Care Net is now on Facebook at www.facebook.com/carenetchilton.
