Rebels win two at Sylacauga

Thorsby’s volleyball team won two-thirds of a tri-match on Thursday in Sylacauga.

The Rebels defeated Alabama School for the Deaf, with Jennifer Spivey leading the way with five kills.

Keela Lucas had seven assists and five aces in the match, and Krista Cleckley pitched in three aces.

The THS varsity also defeated host Sylacauga. Spivey posted five kills, and Lucas had seven assists.

Thorsby’s junior varsity team defeated ASD, as Lauren Wyatt recorded eight aces, Anna Hilyer had five aces and Kerri Robinson had two blocks.

The JV squad fell short against Sylacauga despite Chyanne Martin’s three blocks and Kerri Robinson’s four blocks and five aces.
