Floyd Allen Collins

Floyd Allen Collins, 75, of Clanton died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on  Sunday, Oct. 28, 1934, in Chilton County, son of the late W.A. Collins Sr. and the late Alta Hand Collins.

He was a major construction supervisor.

Surviving are his wife, Margaret Kemp Collins of Clanton; daughter, Cheryl Diane Collins; step-daughter, Jamie Owen Hilyer; step-son, Tom C. Owen; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two brothers, James Ervin (Priscilla) Collins and Royce (Jennifer) Collins; and four sisters, Clarice Collins Moss, Bennie (Sam) Collins, Jean (Randall) Price and Deborah (Dana) Robinson.

He was preceded in death by his brother, W.A. Collins Jr.; sister, Lula Mae Hashagen; and sister, Helen C. Jones.

Friends will be received from 12-2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 17 at West End Baptist Church.
Services will be Friday, Sept. 17 at 2 p.m. at West End Baptist Church.
