Alfred Filmore Stone, 81, of Billingsley, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010.
He was born Thursday, Feb. 14, 1929, in Perry County, son of the late Harvey Stone and the late Lillian Ham Stone.
He was a road superintendent.
Surviving are his three daughters, Anita Stone (Tim) McWhorter of LaGrange, Ga., Janice Ann (Edward) Frith of Tuscaloosa and Lisa (Ronnie) Logan of Billingsley; son, Jeff (Cindy) Stone of Jones; two sisters, Leola Womack of Bessemer and Chris McDougal of Atlanta; and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Stone.
Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 8 at Billingsley Church of God.
Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 9 at 11 a.m. at Billingsley Church of God with the Rev. Wendell Kelley and the Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Freewill Baptist in Marion.
