Edna Mae Long, age 79 of Clanton, passed away on Feb. 6, 2012. at UAB Hospital in Birmingham.

She was born in Georgia on June 2, 1932. She worked as a factory laborer.

She is survived by: granddaughter, Linda (Tom) Cuthbert of Clanton; granddaughter, Angie Cleckler of Clanton; grandson, Louie (Meredith) Brunkel of Kentucky; grandson, Brian Smith of Ohio; grandson, Justin Smith of Ohio; seven great grandchildren; brother, Larry Langston of Jemison; brother, Hoyt Langston of Gadsden; sister, Catherine Johnson of Clanton; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by: husband, Melvin Long; daughter, Patsy Smith; son, Eugene Long; sister, Glenda Moore; and brother, Garvin Langston.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9 the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Mims Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton.
