Jemison volleyball defeated Maplesville on Thursday, 3-0 (25-15, 25-10, 25-12).

Shelby Griffin recorded three kills, and Lauren Price had five assists and was 10-for-11 serving.

Haley Smitherman had two kills and served 9-for-10. Tiffany Guin got in 16 of 20 serves and had eight aces and three digs.

Tanya Liveoak posted six digs and served 13-of-13 from the line.

Jemison will play in the Calera Invitational tournament on Saturday. Maplesville, along with R.C. Hatch, visits Akron beginning at 5 p.m. on Aug. 31.
