“O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy. And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south. They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them. Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses. And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city habitation. Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” (Psalm 107:1-8).

“The power of prayer can do wondrous things; it can heal the sick, and peace of mind it brings; It can remove your doubts and ease your strife; it can lift your spirit and promise everlasting life. The power of prayer can save your soul; from the depths of sin, it can make you whole; from the shadow of death, strength you will receive; if only in the power of prayer you believe. The power of prayer is simple and plain; talk to God, whatever your pain; though many will scoff; do not despair; just trust in God and the power of prayer!”
