Allen Waldrop

Allen Wade Waldrop, 46, of Jemison died Sunday, Aug. 24, at UAB.
He was born Friday, Sept. 29, 1961, in Birmingham, son of the late Harlan Wade Waldrop and Patricia Cox. He was a heavy equipment operator.
Surviving are his wife, Donna Waldrop of Jemison; three sons, Wesley Wade Waldrop of Jemison, James Smith of Clanton, Daniel Smith of Calera; daughter, Wendy Leigh Waldrop of Jemison; Mother, Pat (Larry) Land of Jemison; grandmother, Dorothy Wilkerson of Springville; sister, Kim Robinson of Jemison; two brothers, Randall Land of Clanton, Russell Land of Orrville; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harlan Waldrop.

Friends will be received today from 5-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. at Union Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating.
