Charles Wayne Johnson, 61, of Clanton died Wednesday, Sept. 3, at his residence.
He was born on Monday, Dec. 16, 1946, in Chilton County, son of the late Napolen Johnson and the late Mary Alberts Johnson. He was a concrete worker.
Surviving are his daughters, Cecelia Jones of Trout, La., Samantha Johnson of Clanton; son, Sammy Johnson of Clanton; two step-daughters, Shannon Murphree, Diane Yates of Clanton; five brothers, Robert Johnson of Clanton, Neal (Betty) Johnson of Verbena, Joe (Kaye) Johnson of Clanton, Leroy (Donna) Johnson of Billingsley, Jeff (Nancy) Johnson of Clanton; two sisters, Mary (Rayford) Clackler of Verbena, Betty (Aaron ) Smith of Birmingham; grandchildren, Devin Jones, Jacob Jones, Dewayne Brasher, Bradin Yates, Jackson Yates, Hali Minor, Caleb Crowe.
Friends will be received today from 5-8 p.m. at Lomax Independent Church. Services will be held Friday, September 5, at 11:00a.m. at Lomax Independent Church with Bro. Paul Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in New Harmony Primitive Cemetery.
