Elizabeth Smitherman

On Oct. 29 the Randolph Community lost a dear sweet lady, Elizabeth Norean Moore Smitherman, age 90.
Miss Elizabeth was a long time friend of many in the community and a strong member of the Randolph Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was a devoted wife and friend to her husband of 62 years, John Smitherman.
They shared many experiences and traveled the army life together for the first 22 years of marriage.
Their only son, Tommy, was born in Italy and spent his early life in Japan. Tommy’s wife is Bell.
They have one son, Sutton, who was the light of his grandmother’s life.
They live in Emelle.
She has a very special niece, Billie Jean McDaniel who lives in Irondale.
She also had a dear sister-in-law, Marguerite Eady, and a brother-in-law, George Smitherman both of Randolph.
Miss Elizabeth was a very special lady of many talents.
She was a sharp business woman, a good seamstress, a mouth watering cook and a pillar of organization.
She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Randolph Baptist Church.
Services will be held Saturday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Randolph Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Teague officiating.
Interment will follow in Randolph Baptist Cemetery.
