CCHS girls win with aggressive defense

Chilton County’s girls earned their third win of the year with a 45-41 decision over Maplesville.

Chilton’s aggressive defense produced turnovers but also many fouls—though Maplesville couldn’t take advantage by sinking free throws.

The Devils made only 16 of 45 free throw attempts.

The score was 24-14 Chilton at halftime and 35-24 CCHS after three periods.

Keona DeJarnett had 14 points for the Tigers, while Maplesville’s Ebony Childers scored a game-high 30 points.
