Maplesville softball finished second in the Montevallo Invitational Tournament on April 10, defeating Jemison (5-2) and Calera (8-4) and losing to host Montevallo (5-2).

Maplesville’s winning pitchers were Autumn Smith and Courtney Killingsworth, respectively.

Bayne Edwards was a combined 5-for-9 at the plate with a .556 on-base percentage, and Kiana Andrews went 4-for-7 with a .778 OBP.

Then, on Monday, the Red Devils improved their record to 12-7 with an 11-0 win over Billingsley.

Killingsworth faced one batter over the minimum while recording her third one-hit game in her last four starts.

Katlyn Freeman and Kortisha Morrow each had three hits and scored three runs.
