Mary Etta Mims, 91, of Clanton died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009 at Hatley Health Care in Clanton.
She was born Monday, Oct. 15, 1917 in Chilton County, daughter of the late Calvin Gentry and the late Martha Jane Easterling Gentry.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are son, Mr. Gene Mims of Clanton; daughter, Mrs. Lucille (Jerry) Adams of Clanton; brother, Mr. O’Neal Gentry of Clanton; stepson, Mr. Bobby Ray Mims of South Carolina; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Arthur Mims; son, Mr. Arthur Gerald Mims; and grandson, Dewayne Mims.
Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 19 at 11 a.m. at Martin Chapel with the Rev. W. L. Adams and the Rev. Odell Bryant officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunshine Assembly of God Cemetery in Clanton.
