Jack Valentine McCain, 74, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at his home in Laguna Beach, Fla.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. from Martin Memorial Cemetery in Clanton with the Rev. Jeremy Pridgen officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 12:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Clanton.
Mr. McCain was born on Feb. 14, 1935, in Chilton County. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Adams McCain and Mae Prater McCain. Mr. McCain is survived by his daughter, Andrea Jo McCain, of Montgomery; two brothers, Walter Bernard McCain of Ocala, Fla. and George Adams McCain Jr., of Houston, Texas; one niece, Rachel Gayle McCain of Atlanta; two nephews, Walter Bernard McCain Jr. (Julie) of Birmingham, and Matthew McCain, of Houston, Texas.
Mr. McCain is also survived by special friends, Ida M. McCain of Montgomery, Darrell Blake of Montgomery and Larry McBride, of Panama City, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Stegall Seminary Scholarship Endowment Trust, P.O. Box 241661, Montgomery, AL 36124-1661.
