Raymond Smith Jr. of Clanton went home to be with the Lord on May 12, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Raymond Smith; mother, Margaret L. Smith; two brothers, Kenneth Earl Smith and Buddy Smith; brother-in-law, Otis Harrison; and grandson, Jacob Cruz.
Surviving are his loving wife, Jeanette Smith of Clanton; three sons, Russell (Priscilla) Mathis of Dora, Todd (Stephanie) Mathis of Graysville and Jesse Smith of Graysville; three daughters, Dana (Larry) Vines of Brookwood, Jennifer (Martin) Alvarado of Adamsville and Amy Smith of Clanton; stepson, Wayne Atchinson of Maplesville; four stepdaughters, Marie (Todd) Jackson of Maplesville, Frances (Smoky) Langston of Thorsby, Tracy (Dewayne) Williams of Maplesville and Brenda Atchinson of Brookwood; two brothers, Wayne Smith of Anniston and Randy (Julie) Smith of Sipsey; five sisters, Louise Harrison of Prattville, Jeanette (George) Roberts of Clanton, Diane (Earnest) Carter of Maplesville, Patsy (Kenneth) Pickle of Maplesville and Debra (Lelus) Beck of Sipsey; 19 Grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends will be received from 5-8 p.m., Thursday, May 13 at the Smith home at 1310 4th Ave. N., Clanton, AL.
Services will be held Friday, May 14, 2010, at 1 p.m. at Way of the Cross Ministry with the Rev. John Kenny Coburn officiating.
Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Cemetery in Stanton.
