DEMOPOLIS – Jason Cannon, publisher of The Franklin County Times in Russellville, has been named to top executive posts with Boone Publications Inc. in Demopolis and west Alabama.

Cannon will serve as publisher of The Demopolis Times, dempolistimes.com and affiliated shoppers and vice-president of Boone Publications.

His appointment was announced Wednesday in The Demopolis Times.

A 2003 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a degree in journalism, Cannon was managing

editor of The Clanton Advertiser before becoming publisher of The Franklin Times.
