Catherine Edith Garner, 85, of Verbena died Wednesday, July 9, at Physicians Medical Center, Birmingham.

She was born Sunday, Nov. 19, 1922, in Chilton County, daughter of the late Charles Edward Headley and the late Theresa Pierce Headley.

She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughters, Eugenia Garner of Verbena and Deborah Parham of Titus; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received today from 5-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday, July 12, at 2 p.m. at Marbury Church of God with the Rev. W.L. Adams officiating. Interment will follow in Marbury Church of God Cemetery.
