Dewey Lee Headley, age 81 of Selma, passed away on Oct. 25, 2011, at Vaughn Regional Medical Center in Selma.

He was born Sept. 1, 1930, in Alabama, the son of the late Simon Clifford Headley and the late Clemmie Walker Headley.

He was a grocery store supervisor.

He is survived by: son, Terry (Marie) Headley of Valley Grande; daughter, Ann (Mike) Heath of Valley Grande; daughter, Joyce (Jimmy) Bearden of Selma; brother, E.J. Headley of Clanton; brother, Edward Headley of Columbiana; brother, Huey Headley of Selma; sister, Betty Ruth Hayes of Selma; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by: wife, Clara Nell Headley and granddaughter, Jennifer Heath.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 28 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Lawrence Funeral Home in Selma, with the Rev. Clark Skelton, the Rev. Randy DeBrabant, and the Rev. Calvin Strickland officiating.

Burial will follow in New Live Oak Cemetery in Selma.
