A man was shot in the West End community at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

The victim, described as a white male, made it to the West End Store on Enterprise Road to call for help, according to Police Chief Brian Stilwell.

The victim was treated on the scene by Clanton Fire Department responders and then taken by ambulance to Shelby Baptist Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, Stilwell said.

CPD detectives were still investigating the case Wednesday afternoon, Stilwell said.

There were no suspects as of Tuesday night, but investigators have since talked with the victim further. Another person of interest was expected to be interviewed Wednesday too.
