Edwards receives master’s degree

Emily Edwards, a native of Clanton, received a master of education at Auburn Montgomery’s summer semester commencement on Aug. 2.

More than two hundred students received degrees this semester.

Story hour continues this week

Story hour began Sept. 9 at Chilton-Clanton Public Library and continue every Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

This is a time set aside for preschoolers ages 3 to 5. Each story incorporates six to eight minute movies, flannel graph stories, tell and draw stories, puppet stories and musical activities.

Other activities children can enjoy are games and group participation. All are designed to help books and stories come alive and introduce children to the pleasures of reading.

No pre-registration is required.
