Jemison on Thursday tuned up for its invitational tournament by sweeping Bibb County High, 25-20, 25-16, 25-13.

The Panthers (11-4) will host Calera, Central-Coosa, Central-Tuscaloosa, Chilton County High, Marbury, Montevallo and Thorsby beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.

In Thursday’s match, Dallis Vanderslice paced the Jemison defense with eight digs.

Kasi Wells served 100 percent from the line and had 25 assists and two kills. Bethany Ellison also compiled a perfect serving percentage.

Codi Mims contributed nine kills and one block, and Christie Hoffmeyer chipped in seven kills and six aces.
