TUSCALOOSA — Alonzo Gee scored 20 points to lead five players in double figures and Alabama defeated Chattanooga 82-63 on Monday night.

Justin Knox added 14 points, Senario Hillman scored 11 and JaMychal Green and Brandon Hollinger notched 10 points each for the Crimson Tide (7-3). Green added eight rebounds and Knox had seven for Alabama which outrebounded Chattanooga 39-34.

Alabama held its biggest lead of the game, 72-50, on a Yamene Coleman jumper with 4:37 left to play.

Following the game’s first basket by the Mocs (2-8), the Crimson Tide scored nine unanswered points, erasing Chattanooga’s only lead.

Chattanooga was led by Stephen McDowell with 15 points, followed by Chris Early and Nicchaeus Doaks with 13 points each. Khalil Hartwell had seven points and eight rebounds for the Mocs.
