Chilton County High’s 50-32 win Wednesday over Jemison means the third-seeded Tigers will match up with No. 2 seed Isabella in a semifinal game of the Chilton County Basketball Tournament.
The teams will play at 6:30 p.m. Friday, and the winner will advance to face the winner of tonight’s Thorsby-Maplesville game.
Thorsby is the tournament’s No. 1 seed and defending champion.
Wednesday’s game was originally scheduled for Tuesday but canceled because of the threat of severe weather.
CCHS showed no rust from the extra day off, racing to a 16-point lead after one quarter and never looking back.
Chilton’s Vernice Trimble led all scorers with 17 points, and teammate Bevin Hawkins added 10.
