The 17 members of the Chilton Medical Center Auxiliary (aka Pink Ladies) gave a total of 3,652 hours in 2008, a savings of $322,868 to Chilton Medical Center.

The group helped raise funds for the glass exercise room, gifts for children and the extension of the front entrance; and donated to Arthritis Walk and Relay For Life and five alarms to Home Health.

The group also gained two new members, Juanita Hearns and Ann Downing. Dixie Stoudimire was awarded the 1,000-hour pin for her years of service. Ruth Tinsley had the highest number of volunteer hours for 2008 with 505 hours.

Auxiliary members are: Tinsley, Pauline Billingsley, Jean Woodfin, Lula Miller, Stoudimire, Jessie Binion, Mittie Hill, Evelyn Littleton, Jean Payton, Annie Gill, Hearns, Downing, Ann Thomas, Leora McCoy, Frances Johnson, Laura Wilson, Cass Keenan and Ann Fells.

The auxiliary’s motto is, “Always be friendly, helpful and courteous,” and the group’s director is Vanessa McKinney.
