Betty Joyce Johnson, age 71 of Plantersville, passed away on July 13, 2011, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

She was born on June 2, 1940, in Chilton County to the late Bill Harrison and the late Myrtle Lewis Harrison.

Mrs. Johnson was a devoted homemaker.

She is survived by: son, Charlie (Jeanice) Johnson of Maplesville; brother, Bobby (Glenda) Harrison of Maplesville; granddaughter, Amanda (Noel) Harrison of Calera; grandson, Tim Johnson of Maplesville; grandson, Ryan (Kim) Johnson of Plantersville; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15 at 11 a.m. from Alpine Baptist Church in Maplesville with the Rev. William Earl Short officiating.

Burial will follow in Alpine Baptist Cemetery in Maplesville.
