Tourney preparation: Kim Cleckler from Gene’s Marine (far left) recently spoke to the Rotary Club of Chilton County concerning the upcoming Peach Classic fishing tournament on June 20 at Higgins Ferry Park. This is being sponsored by Gene’s Marine Montgomery and Blazer Performance Bass Boats. This year, the first place winner will win a one-in-10 chance to draw for a Blazer Bass boat from Gene’s Marine Montgomery. First place will pay $1,500, second place $750, third place $500 and fourth place $250. Different from previous years, early registration will be held at the Alabama Power Conference Center on U.S. Highway 31 South in Clanton on June 16 at 6:30 p.m. There will be food and door prizes and also the boat that will be drawn for by the tournament winner will be on display.
