A mobile home outside Clanton was destroyed during a midmorning fire Friday.

Fairview Fire and Rescue responded to the fire at 4410 County Road 232 at approximately 10 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting out the home’s roof. No one was at home during the blaze.

Investigators have not determined how the fire started.

In addition to Fairview, Cedar Grove Fire Department, Clanton Fire Department and Thorsby Fire Department as well as CARE Ambulance and the Chilton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call.
