The week of Oct. 7-11 was Free College Application Week for high school students in Alabama, and students in Chilton County took advantage of the opportunity. More than 60 four-year colleges and universities throughout Alabama and the southeast waived their application fees during the week allowing students across the state to apply to colleges for free.

Students from all high schools in Chilton County, along with LeCroy Career Technical Center, participated. Over 300 Chilton senior students submitted applications to further their education.
