MONTGOMERY POST— A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, has claimed the life of a Jemison man. Mark S. Allred, 53, was fatally injured when the 2024 Freightliner tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway and struck a cable barrier before overturning. Allred was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near the 215 mile marker, approximately five miles southeast of Jemison, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
