Isabella High School fell 47-27 on the road at Aliceville High School on Sept. 20 in Class 2A Region 5 play. The Mustangs piled up 363 yards of total offense with 303 of them coming on the ground. Three fumbles by the offense also put the Isabella defense in tough positions, which was a contributing factor in dropping their third consecutive game.

The Mustangs were keeping pace in the first half with Aliceville with touchdowns on three of their first five drives of the game. Jedaiah Works punched in two rushing touchdowns from two and 35 yards out, and Kaden Tuttle hauled in a 19-yard touchdown pass from Levi Wilkins to send the game to halftime with Aliceville on top 33-21.

Aliceville forced back-to-back punts by Isabella to start the second half as their offense extended the lead. Wilkins took in a short touchdown run in the fourth quarter for the Mustangs final score before two of the three fumbles by Isabella occurred late in the fourth quarter.

Isabella (1-3) travels to Billingsley High School on Sept. 27 for its next game out of region with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m.
