A female juvenile was killed in a traffic accident involving a train on Coodey Road in Clanton at around noon on July 13. Clanton Police Department and Clanton Fire Department were dispatched to the scene at the railroad crossing on Coodey Road and found a single car with damage.

First responders found the 17-year-old female occupant deceased as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. It was determined that the juvenile female was the driver, and was the only occupant in the vehicle.
