This is the 15th year that Lake Mitchell Home Owners Boat Owners (HOBO) has awarded scholarships to students from Chilton or Coosa County. The students submitting applications must be a senior, have at least a B average, plan to attend an Alabama college in the fall and participate in one or more of the lake cleanups.

HOBO is proud to announce that Sidney Thornton is the recipient of this year’s scholarship. Sydney will graduate in May from Central of Coosa County High School in Coosa County. She plans to attend the University of South Alabama in Mobile and major in radiologic science/radiation therapy. We wish Sidney success in all her future endeavors.
