MONTGOMERY POST – A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. Monday, Aug. 21, has claimed the life of a Deatsville woman. Angelica L. Leavins, 31, was fatally injured when the 2004 Honda Accord that she was driving collided head-on with the 2020 Nissan NV3500 van driven by Michael C. Horsley, 48, of Verbena. Leavins was pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on U.S. 31 near the 210 mile marker, approximately four miles south of Clanton, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
