The 2023 Relay Queens and their mothers had the honor of cooking, serving, visiting and talking with the residents at the Joe Lee Griffin Hope Lodge in Birmingham on July 24. Hope Lodge is a facility for cancer patients receiving treatment in Birmingham, and their caregiver, to stay at no charge. The American Cancer Society pays for patient’s stay with money raised through Relay for Life, so patients can focus on beating cancer. The Relay Queens met many people from different places including Chilton County, Prattville and Montgomery. Thank you, Chilton County, for supporting Relay for Life. As at every visit the Relay Queens made a wish in the fountain.
