The deadline is approaching for Maplesville residents that need help providing Christmas gifts for their children this year to apply to the Toys For Kids program.

The program is accepting applications for the final time on Nov. 15 at Maplesville Town Hall. Blank applications to be picked up at town hall during regular business hours.

Applications can also be mailed Town of Maplesville, Toys for Kids, P.O. Box 9, Maplesville, AL 36750. Applications must be received by Nov. 16.

Each application packet must include a complete application information, copy of the birth certificate for each child, verification of food stamps, recent pay check stub for each parent and a $5 application fee.

The application fee goes back into the Toys for Kids fund.

The program is only for those not receiving assistance for Christmas presents from other sources, the application states.

Maplesville served 52 children last year through this program.

Those selected will be notified by Dec. 5.
