MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 4:40 p.m. Friday, July 22, has claimed the life of a Maplesville man. Brandon K. Roper, 38, was fatally injured when the 2003 Chevrolet Tracker he was driving left the roadway and overturned. Roper was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected, and pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Chilton County 37, approximately 10 miles north of Clanton, in Chilton County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
