The Maplesville Red Devils offense came alive during a 53-14 road victory over Billingsley on Sept. 11.
Jackson Abbott, Caleb Hobbs and Brady Harrison provided a three-prong attack for the Red Devils, who were able to wear down Billingsley as the game moved along.
Maplesville led 19-14 at halftime but opened up the margin by outscoring the Bears 34-0 in the second half.
Abbott completed nine of 16 passes for 116 yards and a touchdown strike to Hobbs. He also led the team with 106 rushing yards on seven carries.
Hobbs routinely found the end zone on the night with a pair of rushing touchdowns to go with his touchdown reception.
Hobbs totaled 147 yards on offense and had a habit for creating big plays. He averaged 10.3 yards per carry and 28.3 yards per reception.
Despite Abbott and Hobbs production on the ground, it was Harrison who once again proved to be the workhorse in the backfield.
Harrison reached the century mark on the ground and scored a touchdown on 17 carries.
After giving up some points in the first half, the Maplesville defense settled in and shutout Billingsley in the second half.
Taylor Sheffield led the team with nine tackles, while Latrell Wilson and Jakavian Jackson each had an interception.
