Five lucky people won a Peach Jam drawing hosted by Chilton County United Way and benefitting local organizations supported by United Way.
The winners of the drawing were: Channing Jackson, who won the grill, Mystie Posey, winning a 20-pound propane tank, Jessie Peoples, winning four Birmingham Zoo tickets, Betty Cooedy, winning four Montgomery Biscuits baseball tickets, and Lillie McDowell, winning a first aid kit.
Brianna McMillian, who was able to participle through her grandmother who helps with Meals on Wheels, was the drawer and caller for the winners of the drawing.
McMillian will be a senior at Chilton County High School in the fall and plans to participate in the upcoming Distinguished Young Woman program.
Jeff Melton, the Vice Chair of Chilton County United Way and Dale Mims, the office manager, were also present for the drawing.
With a total of 192 drawing tickets, $398.95 was raised toward the yearly fundraising goal.
“We just want to thank everyone who participated in the donation drawing,” Carol Fortuna, Campaign Coordinator for United Way, said.
Winners can come by Chilton County United Way to pick up their prizes.
