Cora Elizabeth Blum, 69, of Jemison, passed away on Sept. 18.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Horace Johnson and his wife, Catherine, her son, Jimmy Maharrey, a brother, Willie Johnson and a granddaughter, Nicole Mixon.

She is survived by her husband, Clifton D. Blum, two daughters, Linda Esco (David) and Mary Glasscock and one son, Dennis Maharrey (Lynn) and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Maharrey.

She is also survived by six sisters and one brother as well as her grandchildren, Charlotte Millican (Don), David Esco II (Jama), Shayla Holland, Cameron Maharrey, Brittney Nalley Beth Glasscock, Jacey Able (Garrett), Courtney Maharrey and five great-grandchildren; Cora Millican, Aidon Esco, Ashton Able, Jimmy Nalley and Rhys Millican.

She also leaves three honorary grandchildren, Amanda and Sara Long and Lea Varner.

Funeral services were held on Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Walker Chapel Funeral Home with burial following in Walker Chapel Memorial Gardens.

The Blum family received friends at the funeral home on Sept. 20 from 5-8 p.m.
