Robert Earl Ray, 74, of Cropwell, passed away on Sept. 11.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Aldridge; and daughter, Holly Ray (Greg Blackwell).
He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Mary Gladys Ray; and son, Russell Ray.
He loved his children, Russell and Holly Ray; wife, Wanda; and great-granddaughter, Madyson.
He graduated from Bessemer High School in 1957.
He worked as an X-Ray technician for 41 years.
Ray retired from St. Clair County Hospital where he worked from 1991-2003.
The family would like to thank Dr. Honan, Dr. Tuck and the staff of St. Vincent’s St. Clair Hospital for their care.
He had a lot of friends and he loved his extended family.
He was proud to have served his country in the U.S. Army.
Visitation services will be Sept. 13 from 5–8 p.m. at Kilgroe Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be Sept. 14 at 10 a.m.
Interment will be at Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby.
