James Andre Creel, 61, of Jemison, passed away on July 20 at his residence.

He was born in Bay St. Louis, Mo. on May 30, 1952, the son of the late Joseph David Creel Sr. and the late Joyce Roberts Creel.

He was a retired residential carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Jennette Creel of Jemison; daughter, Jenny Creel of Jemison; step-son, Michael (Crystal) Freeman; step-son, Shannon Freeman; step-daughter, Tabitha Freeman; eight grandchildren; sister, Cherry Palmer; brother, J.D. Creel Jr; brother, Tommy Creel and best friends, Fritz and Lynn Friday.

He is preceded in death by his parents, J.D. Creel Sr. and Joyce Creel.

The family will hold a private service at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Creel family.
