Willie Lee Robinson, 71, of Calera and formerly of Chilton County, passed away on June 20 at his residence.

He was born in Chilton County on April 21, 1942, the son of the late Rufus Robinson and the late Willie Mae Smith Robinson.

He was retired from law enforcement. He honorably served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Cheryl Robinson of Calera; son, Danny Robinson (Kim) of Jemison; daughter, Lavetia Robinson of Clanton; son, Raymond Robinson (Jennifer) of Selma; daughter, Rachel Coggins of Jackson Gap; son, Jeffery Robinson of Clanton; son, Michael Robinson (Carla) of Clanton; daughter-in-law, Tara Hunt of Thorsby; brother, Hershel Robinson (Bonnie) of Haleyville; brother, Frankie Robinson of Haleyville; brother, Grady Adams of Jemison; sister, Christine Robinson Caton of Jemison; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Willie Mae Robinson and sister, Betty Ann Driver.

Visitation will be held on June 23 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on June 24 at 2 p.m. from Collins Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Johnson and the Rev. Matt Hilyer officiating.

The body will also be in state one hour prior to the services at the church.

Burial will follow in the Collins Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.

Pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Fulmer, John Sheron, Jay Edwards, Scotty Wells, George Purvis and James Lumpkin.
