Elouise R. Cates, 82, of Clanton passed away on May 14.

She was born on Friday, June 13, 1930 in Elmore County, the daughter of the late William Rhodes and the late Luthie Mae Rhodes.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her husband, John R. Cates (Bobby); daughter, Patsi Deans of Richmond, Va.; son, Jim Thrower of Jemison; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; stepson, Kenny Cates of Johnson City, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Karen Ramey of Jemison; sisters, Marie Johnson of Clanton, Dean Lett of Clanton and Jean Mayfield of Jemison.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m. May 15 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held on May 16 at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Royce Ellison and the Rev. Arthur Davis officiating.

Interment will follow in Martin Mausoleum in Clanton.
