Jimmy William Miller 55, of Jemison passed away on April 9 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham.

He was born in Clanton on April 19, 1957, the son of the late James William Miller and the late Sarah Nell Gore Miller.

He was a retired vocational educator.

He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Miller of Hoover; daughter, Mindy Whittle of Verbena; son, James Cody Miller of Jemison; grandchildren, Mattie and Mahala Whittle; sister, Sarah Glasscock of Jemison and a special friend, Tara Parker of Jemison.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James William Miller and Sarah Nell Miller.

A memorial service was held on April 10 at 7 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. J. Aaron Ellison officiating.

The family received friends one hour prior to the services.
