William Steven Echols, 59, of Jemison, passed away on April 6, 2013, in Clanton.

He was born on Sept. 20, 1953, the son of the late Bill Echols and the late Wilma Jean Parker Glaze.

He was a brick mason.

He is survived by his wife, Terry Echols of Clanton; daughter, Sharon Echols McDonald of McCalla; daughter, Tatum Hollon of Prattville; daughter, Wanda Echols of Clanton; step-daughter, Michelle Hooper of Brundidge; step-daughter, Lucy Castleberry of Clanton; 14 grandchildren; sister, Debbie Mims of Clanton; brother, Butch Echols of Harpersville; sister, Angie Johnson of Hueytown and a special friend, Milton Varden of Clanton.

A memorial service was held on April 8 at 6 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Sandifer officiating.

The family received friends one hour prior to the service.
